This year at Eurofurence will take place a SIG for all the DJ's of the furry fandom, but it will also offer everyone a small explanation of the basics on how to mix tracks and how to work as a DJ.

First part of the SIG will take between 30mins and 1 hour. The show will be recorded and shown on a beamer for better understanding.
- How DJ material works and how to set it up
- The time and beat count of a track
- How to match 2 different tracks together

Second part will be more practical and consisting in a mix between DJs and visitors :
Everyone is invited to bring his dj setup, show their material, exchange music, show their mix techniques ect.... Of course, it is also open to people just having questions, wanting to try to mix for the first time or just wanting to have fun Wink

Participant – Dj setup – Type of music
Djem – Ecler Nuo 5 and DJM 400 / cdj 1000 mk2/ dn-s1200*2 / DVJ 1000 – House / Happy Hardcore
Kenai – Denon dnx-900 / HS 5500 * 2 / HD 2500 - Trance
Wikke - Pionner djm 500 / CDJ 100s *2 - Trance

Dammit, I wanted to do that next year  Grin
I'll definitely attend - as long as it doesn't overlap with my SIG Smiley

Will you bring your CDJs with you? I've wanted to see how they feel since I'm "only" a software DJ (I've reached what I can do with software alone, I'm currently waiting for the Reloop Digital Jockey 2).

As in "prerecorded and available after EF to download"? That would be nice :)

Hmm, I only know how to use Virtual DJ. I would be happy to learn a bit about real gear, or get more Virtual DJ tips Smiley

I might consider bringing my laptop as well, and play with it a bit, got the newest Virtual DJ on it.

The Hotel has a mobile PA system and mickrophone.

Please contact Riffuchs, so he can arrange for these things to appear at your pannel. Smiley
