Hey,

as everybody in the charity team is quite busy at the moment, we have not yet counted it all, but we'll keep you updated for sure. Smiley

best regards,

I'd be interested in knowing figures for both 2009 and 2008 (2007 was here). Perhaps they could all be recorded on eurofurence.de as evidence of the organization's charitable activities?

This year's charity turnout was 2938,53 € ... unfortunately we did not manage to crack the 3000 mark like we did in 2008.

We will next year!

I was glad to see more charity items in the art auction compered to 2008. I think it's a good idea to have charity items in the art auction.

Might I suggest that charity art auctions bypass the 'paper-auction' stage?

They still go in the show, but can only be won in the voice auction, I'm sure they're raise more that way.

We've thought about this, and in fact, a few years ago, we had quite a few charity items that went straight to the voice auction. However, that causes a problem: Unless we make the charity auction a separate event, we'll run into serious timing issues. The auction is already taking very long, and the time we have on stage is not unlimited.
