The youth hostel might be unavailable, but in the other direction we have a local Guest House (Gästehaus auf Deutsch) that offers accomadation for as low as E20 pppn.

I've reserved a nice spacious room from the 31st to the 6th - and I'm looking for two people one more person to share found two room mates. Here are some pictures:

Savings of 80 to 160 euros are possible depending on how long you stay. (50%-60% off!)

Other rooms are available

[edit:] Small print:
*Because it's my name on the booking form, I will use the same rules as EF (money up front, nonrefundable but transferable). Minimum 50% deposite please.
*Similarly, this doesn't include any food. But you do get a kitchen.
*Guest house doesn't have a lift. Not disabled friendly. Possibly not fursuit friendly.
*One key per person. So good security and access.
*One bed per person.
*Hotel is the same distance as my house from Tesco. So about 3-4 minutes.

[Update:]
EF has confirmed my status as 'paid'.
Room mate #1 - K9 Primate (paid)
Room mate #2 - Ultrafox (pending)

Well, I could be one of those people!
Like you, I also had in mind to be there from the 31 to the 6; so that coincides nicely.

A bit short, but it should suffice.

Regards,
K9P (alias SP).

Correct there is no reception, I suspect the venue is run just by the two of them.
So they probably just do not have the time.

I'll quote their website:
Da wir keine Rezeption haben und wir nicht immer im Haus sind, ist es dringend erforderlich Ihre Ankunftszeit mit anzugeben.

And my attempt at translating it:
Since we do not have a reception and we are not always around, therefore it is really imperative you do indicate your time of arrival.

I am sure there will be some solution for that.
It may be as simple as a phone call.  Wink

Well I'd be glad to have you! It's pretty much a first come first serve basis.

That is, the first people who actually hand the money over get first place. Because it's my neck on the line I am going to ask for at least 50% of the money up front. The price is half as much, but other than that it works pretty much like the EF system I'm afraid. Smiley
