Just some quick info....

There are new DHL services around that may be useful. You can drop off domestic (intra-German) parcels here:
Paketbox       Gothaer Str. 1, Postbank-Finanzcenter, im 24h-Bereich      98527      Suhl

And if you are a registered Packstation user, there now is one in Suhl too where you can pick up your stuff:
Packstation 101    Schleusinger Str. 2, Deutsche Post Gebäude
