Art Show looking for Volunteers
« on: 22.08.2010, 12:30:03 »

Hello everyone!

Do you have a soft spot for pictures and the arts? Would you like helping artists and attendees alike?  Well, now is your chance as Eurofurence Art Show Operations is looking for volunteers to help our regular staff. At a short notice, we have job options in two fields:

Bidder Registration: You are manning the front desk in the Art Show. It is your job to take an attendee's credentials in order for them to be allowed to bid on Art pieces in the Show. Also, you are right in the heart of Art Show Operations, overlooking the show and enjoying the art during the more calmer minutes. Volunteers team up with our regular Staff on Thursday and Friday. Individual shifts can be negotiated, as we don't want you to miss your SIG or stage event.

Art Sales: You are Assistant Clerk or Runner to the Cashier. This high paced job is all about getting the right pictures to the attendee who bought them the day before and locating receipts correctly. Reliable volunteers are needed on Saturday during the entire Art Sale. Hence, whole day commitment would be appreciated but individual shifts are also negotiable.

As fulfilling as the job may be in making customers and artists happy, the jobs can be demanding and processes have to be maintained correctly even during rush hours. Hence you should meet the following requirements:

- speak both German and English well enough to make yourself understood
- read both German and English well enough to distinguish exhibit pieces
- be able to work autonomous, be reliable and accurate
- handle fragile exhibition pieces with the necessary caution

If you would like to lend us your helping paw either contact us at: artshow@eurofurence.org (please add "Volunteer" to your subject line) or just come by and visit us during Set Up Hours.

Yours sincerely
