Is quite a shame.. I prefere not to judge others, as I know others judge me.. but by god, at the convention we represent ourselves, our fandom and our countries.. you don't have to dress as I, 2 and some others do.. but at least wear shoes people x.x saw at least four people in the main lobby over the con.. no footwear.. it's a high class hotel x.x not a B&B

If someone runs around with a union jack he represents his country - agreed. But most furs do not sport their citizenship in such a way, so why should they bother representing their countries? Representing the furry fandom was professionally done by some experienced furs, so there was little risk to get accidently in the focus of the medias. There were very few none-furries at the hotel to impress (or ignore) inside the hotel anyway. You may feel distinguished in a suit, if that is part of your role and you enjoy playing it that's great. I myself prefur serving representation of the furry fandom by fursuit-walks and enjoy myself in fursuit at the con. Others may do it in the internet by displaying fine art and selling their art at the con. There are furs which simply don't wear shoes - why should they change this for such an event? I find it rather poor to judge furry representation by mundane human class standards. The hotel was choosen for capacity reasons, not because high class accomodation was important. There was no problem with Youth Hostels in the past either (most other german furry cons are indeed not in hotels).
