That awful beeping sound...

Who or WHAT was that sound on the day that the EF began? (second day for the early arrivals, so the 17th). Suddenly there was a horrid and LOUD beeping sound, but I do not recall what that was. (you could hear it well!!)

Can anyone explain what caused that beeping sound? (it ran like for 15 minutes I think with pauses inbetween)

If I can recall it correctly you could hear it all over in the lounge area!

i heard it as well. and i'm not so sure it actually was the elevator alarm, unless someone would have cranked up the volume on it quite a bit, it might've been one of the 2 front elevators. and it ran for more then 15min, rather on and off thru the afternoon. sounded more like a construction lift alarm of the beeping of a truck going backwards?

Nope, I don't think so, it was TOO LOUD for an elevator alarm!...
