Yeah, because what's bedroom without straps and buckles? ;D
Putting some toilet paper or other soft tissue between the plastic straps and wood should work fine as well to prevent damage. Then shoot some pictures.  #p

I had a very good doubble bed in my room, no problems.

But from sleeping in hotels for many years due to my work, i learned that simply tieing the bed together with a leather belt works perfectly fine.
