Question regarding the room tax - again
« on: 21.01.2014, 14:23:40 »

Hello everyone,
since the last thread was closed already, and I still have a question about it I'll make a new thread.
The "Übernachtungssteuer" is solved. those 5% don't add to the price.
But what about the 7% MwSt.?
does the 7% has to be added by myself or is it included in the price of 90,50€/Night??
Because I really don't want to stand in the lobby and can't pay it xD

To what should that tax apply? If there is no bed-fee, then there is noting to tax, is there? Everything else is stated clearly on the reg-page and your mails:

Quote
VAT included.

Ah okay. That mentioned VAT in the Estrel mail is only for the 5% Tax. Okay Thank you =)
I interpreted it that the 7% would go on the normal price =)
Thanks.

As with everything else in Germany (at least for "Endverbraucher" customers), there is a 7% tax on the net (Netto) price, but is included in the (Brutto) EUR90,50.

(More precisely, there is a 7% VAT on the "room" part of the total price, and a 19% tax on the "breakfast" part. Thank you so much, "Liberal" Party! But you don't have to care about that, both parts, and their taxes sum up to the EUR 90,50 that you pay.)
