"Real Name is Confidential"

Vixus:
Does the "Real Name is Confidential" checkbox do anything still?

Clover:
Yes it does.

Eurofurence tries to respect people's individual privacy and this option is meant for pepole who don't want their real name to be cited in the conbook and other material available to the general public. I can assure you that Eurofurence staff put real efforts into this.

You have to be aware of the following, though :

Your real name will be needed to handle and process your registration.
Same goes for the hotel room reservation
You real name will be printed on your convention badge
Eurofurence is a public event

In addition to what Clover wrote:

* If you are Sponsor or Supersponsor, only your nickname gets listed in the con book
* We check the credits in the con book, and only list your nickname
As all these are manual processes, we are sorry that we cannot promise perfection.

Even if the results aren't perfect, "hand-crafted" is always preferable to "machine-made"!

I was wondering what the "Real Name is Confidential" selection did (and it didn't seem to work with my tablet, anyway); I'll verify my registration settings, fill in my real name, and stop being paranoid about it  ;D

It is a normal checkbox, just like the other options you can select. What kind of issues did you experience?

*purrrrr*
