The Con Book is looking for submissions again!

(1/1)

Cairyn:
Ladies and Gentlemen!

According to preliminary investigations, a certain convention called „Eurofurence“ will have its 20th anniversary coming up. During this event we hope to gather enough conclusive evidence to prove this organisation guilty of turning innocent individuals into party animals. The leads point at one large conspirational meeting - the site of crime appears to be the Estrel Hotel in Berlin. Please treat this information as confidential.

So this years theme is „Eurofurence 20 – Crime Scene Berlin“.

The Eurofurence con book is again looking for both full page illustrations and little fillers. With a bit of luck you will see your art printed in the con book, which will be handed out to every attendee at the convention.
We appreciate every single submission and are happy if you chance your luck!

To help you getting inspired, have some key words to show the variety of this topic.

Investigations at the crime scene (outside or inside)
-Perpetuation of evidence
-Cordoning off the crime scene
-Questioning of suspects and witnesses
-Police vehicles
-Police animals
-Units in Europe/USA (or the like)
-Agents (suits and sunglasses)
-Berlin as scene (not essential)

Post-treatment
-Laboratory/forensics
-DNA-Analysis
-The chase
-Consigning the bad guys to prison

Please keep all submissions FSK 12 / PG-13.

Showing guns is perfectly fine, no explicit murder though ;-)

You don't have to take the theme too serious. Funny interpretations are highly welcome as well.

The con book is in full color, so we prefer color illustrations as well.
The format for full page illustrations is A4 (210x297mm) plus 3mm cropping area along all edges, adding up to a total of 216x303mm or 2551x3578 pixels at 300 dpi.

Fillers should be saved as PNG with a transparent background and be at least 1500px on the longest side (larger files are no problem at all). Their dimensions and aspect ratio depend of the motive of course, but please make sure they don't turn out too small.

The deadline for submissions is the 15th of June.

You don't have to be an attendee to submit a picture; if you just like the theme, feel free to send us something. There are so many awesome artists out there who simply don't go to conventions, or at least are not able to take part in this year's Eurofurence, and they deserve a chance as well.
You can find further information here: http://www.eurofurence.org/EF20/conbook

Please send all finished art to conbook@eurofurence.org!
