How many people allowed in room?
« on: 12.01.2015, 07:22:08 »

In America its common for 4 people to stay in a two bed room for conventions, to help pay for the room.
I have been told that this is not allowed in Germany?

Any info on this would be appreciated!

Just call or email the hotel.
As far as I know, very few people got an extra bed last year, but the hotel has a limited number of extra beds, and did not allow more persons than beds per room.

That is very correct. It it's not allowed to have more guests in the room than what you've booked.
As Jorinda said you can contact the hotel and ask for a spare bed, but this will up to the hotel if you get one or not.
Especially as they have a very limited number of spare beds.

Also note that most European countries have very strict fire safety laws.
So if the hotel staff says no it's not because they are mean.
It's because they are forced to, and they can be heavily fined if they try to ignore it.
Trust me, the personal wouldn't risk their own job just so you can save a couple of bucks.

Seems there is a misunderstanding.
I am not asking about extra beds I mean is four people sharing 2 beds ok? As price is per room not per person, in america the limit of people per a 2 bedroom, room is 4.

At the Estrel, you can book either a single room for one person, or a double room for two persons. It is not allowed to have more people sharing a room than booked. Thus, no, you can not have four people sharing two beds.

partly correct. If you ask for a extra Bed they will give it to you. For example i booked a Standard Room with extrabed and i pay 150€ per night.

If you announce information like that please make sure that they are complete.

The number of these extra beds is VERY limted and once their gone their gone. As far as I know they are either already sold or almost sold by now. No, it is not possible to book two extra beds to get a four-people-room.

And just as a precaution: please keep in mind that staying in a hotel room without having paid a room is fraud and a criminal offense. This is called "Ghosting" and would get you into severe trouble. :)

I sent an email to Estrel asking about extra people in room and apparently they'd let me have third person in our room for extra 51€/night without extra bed so we all three would just sleep in the same two beds. So I guess that's an option when all the extra beds are gone.

if you get that confirmed by mail from the hotel thats perfectly fine.
but you should make sure you understood them right. Last year this was not possible, but they might have changed their mind.
Its their business in the end. ^^
