The Furry Music Café
« on: 27.06.2014, 18:00:28 »

Last year I forgot to put in an application in time, so it wasn't scheduled.

I don't want to forget again, so here it is. I haven't had a chance to speak to everyone, but I am simply going to assume it's alright for the team. I know it will be :)

Event: The Furry Music Café
Host: Chama C. Fox
Team: Eisfuchs, Jumpy, Mafundi, TBA

Tentative description:
The Furry Music Café is a chance to present original music written by furries to a small home crowd of people who enjoy the tunes of our fandom. We'll arrange for coffee and cookies, you bring your appreciation of furry music and possibly even a song of your own.

If you are a songwriter and have something to present, please contact me. If you need additional instrumentalists or singers, we may be able to provide depending on circumstances and complexity. Songs need to be original compositions and you must have the right to perform the song in public without incurring licensing cost to Eurofurence.

I'll definitely try to come tho I havent done any new tracks yet.
I havent met Chama in person yet. The last time I contacted him was to ask for samples to the song "gargoyle" (Furry Fantasies) and that was waaay back.
Is spontaneous improvisation ok too, maybe jamming together?
I am only hobby musician playing now and then so dont expect too much :)

I have my keytar, so I'd like to tag along, if only as backup player.

Generally, this is a possibility if we don't let it run for too long, but you should come up with a chord sequence and an original idea (perhaps a small melody line) to get the improvisation started. And you should have printed chord sheets if you want anyone to play along.

See you there,

I'd love to participate this year if you folks are hosting it again. Sadly last year it conflicted with another assignment I had, so I missed almost all of it.

Oh, I hadn't noticed someone revived my old thread.

I am hoping to organize another Furry Music Café, if time constraints permit.
