Apocalypse World RPG at EF21

(1/6) > >>

Zuki:

For those interested in tabletop RPGs I am planning on running a game of Vincent Bakers acclaimed Apocalypse World RPG at the con - at least one session will most likely be on  Wedneday the 19th, the first night of the con. Since I can only take about 5 players if theres enough interest I will run another session of it later tho!

Scenario details are :

Green and Unpleasant Land

We left the poisonous cities of our creators far behind and made a savage new world in our own feral image.  Now the gun the claw and those who can still hold it together run the world for better or worse.  Its all just peachy if you are the one with the most bullets,  right? Live and die on the fury road and all that drek.  But something is growing in those old dirty cities.  Something thats fit to tear you down and spit you out all messed up.

Apcoalypse world uses character playbooks for very rapid character generation and a simple 2d6 plus stat system of moves to keep the action fierce and fast paced - its very much in the vein of Mad Max and other post apocalypse movies.

For a flavour of the game take a look at the playbooks here

Id naturally be making the characters furry rather than human to fit with the con theme.

Fineas:
I have been playing with something like that for a while now and I am interested.
I might be busy on the con thought, how do you plan on organizing it?

As in; is this a room party or somewhere in the lobby?

Zuki:
I believe the games room will be open and I will be running it there - providing its not tooo noisy with other games.

I don't think I will have a sign up sheet so it might need to be first come first served on the places.

Rishary:
I'm also interested but have zero experience with this system (Or any other non-d20 system for that matter as I am a D&D/Pathfinder fanatic). I don't mind doing some reading though!

Zuki:

The system is a breeze and very easy to pick up, shouldn't be a problem to learn even if you have zero RPG experience as almost everything runs off a single die roll with varying levels of success.

One thing the game encourages is players making up bits of the game world, so you get to define who and what populates the jungle wastes as well as the GM.
