Chimeras ... our future?
BlackWolfFenris:
Well ... hello there fellow furs ,
I read an article about experiments with human and animals genes and it said that the first chimeras (human-animal) creatures were created. Well ... it was just a test and they said that they'll maybe use to provide mankind with new vitals. Genetic engineering , cloning and stuff are very hard subjects. Is it allowed or not? ...
But well if it's really possible to create chimeras ... we are one step closer to create real furs.
What ya think? Feel free to discuss everything related to this here. ;)
Cheetah:
Well, as far as I know they exchanged mitochondrial DNS only ... but even if they were to combine animal and human DNA in some other random fashion, the result would not be able to grow beyond a bunch of cells, as an organism is a pretty much fine-tuned machine, and simply mixing up DNA from two species is like mixing pages of blueprints of cars and motorcycles. Sure. You'd still get lots of parts built. But you'd never be able to assemble them :)
BlackWolfFenris:
Hehe ... that's what genetical engineering is all about , still a long way to go , and lots of new things to discover ^^
Barney:
That way the collars and leashes on the consite would serve an even better purpose, only I pity the furson who has to walk them ;D.

If you want to walk one of those hybrids, you can simply put the petri jar in your pocket.
