Title: 2024 Pawpetshow Building Weekend - HELPERS WANTED!
Post by: Cheetah on 29.07.2024, 18:34:39
Hello everybody!

As with all previous productions, we are going to produce our pawpetshow sets in one big group effort, since we only have one weekend to finish them :) That means, we need all the helpers we can get - tinkerers, painters, artists - if you can use a paint brush, jigsaw or screwdriver, you can help!

Typical jobs we have is: Priming panels with background colors, mounting pre-printed artwork to backdrops, cutting out shapes, building frames, joining backdrop and prop parts, installing reinforcements, cutting out windows and adding door hinges ... there is plenty of stuff do. Our talented lead artists and craftspeople will tell you exactly what  you have to do. And if you are an artist yourself, the better, because we also need people who are able to instruct the helpers. Usually it's a lot of work, but also a lot of fun :)

Would you like to volunteer? Just reply to this thread, or send a message to @cheetahspottycat (https://t.me/CheetahSpottycat) on Telegram!

The workshop is going to take place

SATURDAY - 14-September-2024
SUNDAY - 15-September-2024

DATES HAVE CHANGED

Edit: The PPS Building Weekend had to be moved to the Weekend of 14.&15. September. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes… it was not an easy decision. Our originally planned weekend clashed with the big Union Viertel Fleamarket, which covers all outdoor areas, so we would have been caged inside the indoor workshop.vThat is just impossible to finish our long list of tasks without our outdoor Workshop area, that makes up like 50% of our setup.

The full address of the workshop is:

Union Gewerbehof
Huckarder Str. 10-12
44147 Dortmund

We can arrange sleeping space in the area, if that's necessary. Food and Drinks will be provided.

If you would like to volunteer, please post a reply in this thread, so we can plan ahead and make sure there will be enough food and drinks, and stuff for everyone!

Pawpetshow building weekend was mentioned in the last staff meeting and I figured I'd have time! :3 Got myself train tickets already and I'll arrive in Dortmund on Friday 13. Sep. 18:32 and will take my train back on Sunday 15. Sep. 15:25.

I would be very glad about a spot for sleeping, as I don't have any plans regarding that yet.

EDIT: Sleeping spot found :3
