Title: Camera tripod for PawPetShow
Post by: Tirmagon on 26.06.2011, 01:54:39
Hi!

I want to make a record of the PawPetShow this year.

I will get a "good" camera for this time, but I don't have a tripod for it. (I don't want to buy a cheap one for this Camera)

Is someone here who have a tripod for me at this evening?

We don't have a problem with people making recordings for private noncommercial use, as long as your camera tripod is positioned in a way that it does not block anybody's view. Still, please consult the Rules of Conduct (http://www.eurofurence.org/EF17/roc.htm) for more details about photography and videotaping. There is a whole section on this topic.

Can everyone who plans to record that get together here to agree on a common format (e.g. as we are in europe 1080p25/1080p50, manual focus, automatic white balance or 24p if there are many people who can only film 33fps ntsc+ 24fps movie) and share the footage later?
This way we can keep the number of private cameras down and get more interesting footage.
Such as only 2 people doing a total instead of everyone and others organise to do knee shots or closeups or a particular side of the stage when something is happening. (So nothing surprising is lost.)
Or if someone finds himself sitting at the outside to get a good pan of the applauding audience afterwards,... .
No need for everyone to do the same after all. ;)

Tirmagon: i can lend you one of my cheap tripods or a good monopod while I use the good tripod and the good monopod.
