Title: Rooms with double or twins
Post by: silverfoxwolf on 08.01.2012, 23:10:31
Quick question, do the rooms have a just one double bed or are twin beds provided in standard rooms?

Afaik every room in maritim have two seperate beds.

in some rooms they are put together, in some rooms they are not.
We only handle the room category in our registration system.
If you have special wishes, please ask for it at the reception desk during checkin, if something like that is available.
Please dont forget, switching rooms after checkin is not possible.

Would it be possible then to get an answer from the hotel in that if the beds are pushed together they can be seperated with the correct sheets and such?

They can be seperated. always two matrasses and seperate sheets.
But at the checkin you can simply ask if a twin is available in your category.

No worries, this shitty beds always seperating by they own will while sleeping -___-
Epecially while "intensive sleeping"  ;D
I really hate it and it`s sad to know that there is no possability for normal double bed.

Same happened to me last year.

Here ist the ultimate HowTo to get rid of this problem  :)

With this method, i had a great convention, sharing the double bed with my wife, without moving beds.

Same happened to me too, after an exhausting day, collapsing between the beds (accidentaly), and then you feel like you have been sucked slowly into the earth's butthole XD

If you're going for Skyhoofs suggestion, please make sure that you do not damage the beds! e.g. by scratching the wood while cutting the cableties afterwards or by causing pressure-marks by using too small straps.

A leather-belt or the like might be a better alternative. :3

Yeah, because what's bedroom without straps and buckles? ;D
Putting some toilet paper or other soft tissue between the plastic straps and wood should work fine as well to prevent damage. Then shoot some pictures (http://thereifixedit.failblog.org/).  #p

I had a very good doubble bed in my room, no problems.

But from sleeping in hotels for many years due to my work, i learned that simply tieing the bed together with a leather belt works perfectly fine.
