Title: Sauna & Pool
Post by: Tekumseh on 31.05.2007, 22:33:46
Hi guys,
in a small discussion occured a question that none of us could answer, so here it is:
are there some kind of opening hours for the pool and sauna-area? If so, what do we have to expect? Massive restrictions or rather long availability?

If I remember it correctly the wellness area is open from 7 am to 9 pm every day.

for many people it would rather be "no swimming after breakfast then" *laugh* Actually I know only very few people who will be awake at that time in the morning. But only until 9 in the evening is harsh...

Wait a sec. You mean there won't be many waking up before 7 am while programm will start around 8 am (That was the time, right?)?

You're planning to have breakfast BEFORE 7 o'clock in the morning???

Nah. There won't be any events before 10am :) Most likeley not even before noon. Because mealtimes are organised differently, the timetable layout will be different than last year ...

Well - on past cons breakfast was planned until 9 o'clock and I normally got there junst in time (but would have slept on a bit if it would have been available later) - and many people did not join breakfast at all...

That sounds extraordinarily non-smart. Although, the hotel pool should be safe even for non-swimmers.

2,2 m is deep enough. Loko once wanted to learn freediving, and he still enjoys to lay on the bottom of the pool and creating ring-like bubbles. He is not sure about the whirpool and the massage shower. Could be fun... Good thing there is sauna too.

Thanks for the reply

You have to remember, some places it is completely normal to not shower before using a public pool, some places you have to quickly rinse off, and others, you have to take a full shower before entering (soap, shampoo, and the whole nine yards).

A lot of the public pools in the US are that way, however, the chlorine levels are extremely higher then that of the pools over here.  Enjoy the eyeball burning sensation.

I even don't visit public pools in Europe because of that, even if it's obliged to shower before you go in, except when the 'fun' part is more important  :P (fox's prioreties are dynamic)
Anyway, I consider the pool in the hotel clean and the guests using it aswell...

i do expect common sense here.
for we all grew up in a social enviroment, i don't need to say where and where not to suit,
be nacked, smoke, drink alcohol, brush your teeth ......

Because sweating in the suits is fun but we goto the room and c.c `exercise'' and sweat and then goto the saunas to `mutually exercise'' c.c  and sweat more :P

i was just thinking. what is wrong with us. first we go suiting. we sweat like frigin beavers (no offence) and when we get back to our room we shower and think "hrm...let's head down to the sauna and sweat MORE" i mean....what is the point.

what kinda sauna is it anyway? a proper one where you have to add water yourself? or one of those where they pump steam into a room?

Its a Sauna area with three different ones, one is a steam bath, one where you can add water and i forgot about the third one.
Also there is a outside area to cool down, one ice bath, ice shower, ice hose......................

So everyone should find the one he likes

Yeah, you better not... unless you let a certain fur know so I can have a good laugh (and be on hand in case a fur slips into shock)
