I would like to ask for a chatbox in the forum because itmay let the members stay connected (for example: if the had not enough time to write in the forumboard) or if they at the eurofurence and want to build some little groups or something else!
So please post if you could or if you could not

Personally I find this an excellent idea. It really makes your stay on the forum a lot longer instead of just checking/making/typing stuffs....

Hey sunwolf thath the reason why i asked and an other reason is that some people dont want to write into a forum but they write into the chat because they see wich people's are online and knew they get an answer directly and doesn't have to wait until someone read this post!
So it would be verry nice to add a chatbox^^

A closed group on facebook only for forum members but not everyone want to give her/his rl name in the facebook site so the chatbox is an better idea.
the other option`s i knew from my own closed forum is to create an anonymus(it must not be anonymous for everyone only for them who want to be anonymous)account.
For skype icq teamspeaka ect, and let it run over a instant messenger.
And the positive thing for a IM is that you dont have to reload everi serveral minutes to se if someone have answered and some forum users can go online with they mobilephones in the instant messengers but not in the forum

Unfortunately, a chat or shout box requires requires additional moderation. We simply do not have the resources to maintain it. However, there is an (unofficial) #eurofurence IRC channel on Furnet. You may wish to join that for real time communication about Eurofurence.

The #eurofurence channel is located on the furnet IRC network. Simply point your client to "irc.furnet.org" and join channel #eurofurence. If you're interested in details and the terms of service, you'll find them right here (http://furnet.org/).
