Title: ATM Proximity to the hotel?
Post by: VulpesRex on 09.04.2014, 07:17:47
I realise that so much of EF - particularly, the Dealers' Room, the Art Show, and of course the Charity - operate/deal in cash.

This wasn't any problem in Magdeburg, as there were a couple of cash machines (and different bank options) within a block of the Maritim.  I really couldn't have enjoyed the convention otherwise; and since my own bank (Bank of America or "BofA") has a reciprocal agreement with Deutsche Bank, I used their ATM/Cash Points (what is the german phrase for the cash machines?) without paying an additional "non-network" fee, and received just about the best Euro/Dollar exchange rate possible at the consumer level.

So...how does one locate the nearest cash machines (and if possible, the Deutsche Bank ones)?  Are there any at the Estrel itself (which appears in Google Earth to be generally located in the midst of high-density housing)?

Google says there is an ATM of Berliner Volksbank inside the Estrel.

http://www.geldautomateninfo.de/?c=Berlin seems to be a list of ATMs in Berlin. The "Sonnenallee 273" one is also quite near to the hotel.

The nearest Deutsche Bank seems to be at  Karl-Marx-Straße 163, 12043 Berlin (about 1.2km from the hotel).
