I regret to report that while traveling home from the convention, Kacey had several items of property stolen. Though neither she nor Ayukawataur were hurt in the incident, Kacey was understandably very upset, and they are both particularly distressed at the loss of the digital camera and all their photographs.

How can you help?
*If you have pictures of Kacey and/or Ayukawataur please send them a copy.
*Especially if they also involve Tani. (Double especially if they also involve her business suit and/or the EF 13 sign!)
*Any members of Eurofurence eV, please sticky this, or move it to whatever part of the forum you feel will get the most attention.
*Spread the word and tell other people about this.
Kacey worked hard to get all her sketches done on time, we'd all like them to come back in 2008, and together they both made the convention a better place to be this year. So let's all pull together to help replace their memories of the convention.

Arf... what a terrible bad luck... :( I was already so happy that - so far - we didn't hear of things got stolen at EF this year. I am so sorry to hear that...

yes, it kind of is a bit of a smack alongside the head with a very big baseball bat. in a metaphorical sense.
kacey is still shaken up by it. i wish there was something more i could give her to make things better, but i am only one girl, and truth told, it has hit me kind of hard as well. different reasons, mostly that i failed in my job to protect her.
please, yes, any pictures would help. and, even though it makes us sound a bit obsessed with tani, i would again ask for images as above. she is the one who made the con the most special for us both and we would dearly wish to remember her for that.

God this is terrible! I hope the German police catch the arsehole that did this.
This is shocking news and I only just read this. I wish that I could do something to help, I do have pictures but sadly I don't think I have any of you, but if you want to browse through most of what I took of the main convention your welcome to.
It was nice meeting you this year, as was getting to have dinner with you on Saturday and the art Kacey did for my sketchbook was amazing!
I can only hope she feels better soon!

I've got about 30mb of pictures and I checked through them today, sadly I don't have anything of you two. I did have a lot of fursuit pictures, with a few of Tani in her savoy costume. I really don't know if this is of any help to you but if you want them I can see what I can do to post them, or email them to you.

I know that this is only a small gesture (didn't make any photos myself), but I want to apologize for what happened on your trip back. It's really sad to see our guests from overseas being treated like this by someone in our country (but yeah, these things to happen on both sides of the great pond).

i have downloaded them, but this machine is a stock mac laptop. it does not have the ability to open a .rar
i will be getting back to the us in the next 24 or so hours and will go through them then and will be happy to get back to you and let you know

i was very glad to meet kacey and ayukawataur. i have took two photagraphy about you both, and i have send it to kacey before i have know this bad news ( it was kacey who have tell me this in her respons)
i have an another reason to regress now that we can't take photography in dealer's den (but i understand the reason of this forbiden)

thank you penpen. we are always happy to meet others. one of the best parts of going to conventions is the change to meet people.
it really is not something you should worry about. so far, of all the images sent our way, or linked our way, your two were the best detail images in which we are in. they make quite a difference. as i keep saying, and i am not giving up the quest for, a certain set of images which we would so much desire to have again. but we are not going to go completely mental without them.
i think, now that we have made it back to the states, and have survived customs and immigration (yes i get to go through immigration) and survive explaining to them how two girls can be legally married in a country that federally does not want to allow it and therefore only kacey gets to file customs as head of household... and all the rest that goes with it.
well... things really are not so bad. we still made a profit. we still had fun. i was able to spend time with my two favorite half show-leopards in the world, at the same time. we had more jager than humanly possible. the rest of the staff made sure everything went perfect for us. tani put up with me more than she should have needed to. cheetah put up with even more. and i could go on for hours...
it was - for lack of any other way to say it. and awesome convention, vacation and experience. and we refuse to let something as simple as loosing some money and property ruin it.
wow - tangent...
can you tell i am trying to not get back to my laundry?
99% of everything i have is hand wash only.
that is masochism.

Hello there. I know this is a very strange place to put a first post, and I know I don't know any of you, and didn't get to go to the con, but may I offer great big cuddles and the hope that by some miracle your things show up?
My heart goes out to you both, as I was mugged at my first con a few years ago (comic con, not furry). I really don't know how I can help, but I really want to. I hope that Kacey feels better soon.

now that i am home i have my various *nix, mac and win systems, as well as all the classics. just when we are traveling i only have the mac.
any format you have, i think i can handle now. i am not picky.
Anyway I glad you and Kacey have managed to get over what happened. I just hope that this hasn't put you off visiting Eurofurence in the future.
i am already begging her to allow me to start preparing for next year.
hopefully not so much train next year though.

oh yes, i remember that badge. she does too. had to send it too you after the con as you missed picking it up. not the first time that happened, and will probably not be the last. but, it does make you memorable. which is probably a good thing, since there are tons and tons of people kacey and i meet at conventions, and to remember anyone really means they have done something right, or wrong, or just were someone we like.
we appreciate your gesture.

it is okay, really. when i met kacey, just over ten years ago, my english skills were nothing worth talking about. five years ago, i was still struggling with how to deliver messages. i knew what i wanted to say, but what i said, and what people heard, were two different things. it was quite a nightmare sometimes.
kacey and i try to find positive in everything we deal with every day. we are thankful he likes her work enough to buy a print, and to have gotten a badge from her. we do not wish any of that to cause anyone any kind of negative emotion.

i guess what i am trying to say is, please, do not fight. not over kacey. she works very hard to not be involved in any fandom drama. the last time she was she was dragged so deep into it that six years later she still can not get away from it. and, i do not like to see people fighting either.
please, it is okay, really.

I would have to agree. It's not my intention to ruffle feathers or make anyone "on-edge."
In any case, if what I said has bothered anyone, I sincerely apologize. This is a place of peace, and I would like for this place to continue to be that way.
