Title: "Furry" interview on Irish radio
Post by: Onkel Kage on 09.11.2006, 04:40:24
http://www.claws-and-paws.com/files/Dublin_98_FM_Interview_with_Uncle_Kage_November_8th,_2006.mp3 (http://www.claws-and-paws.com/files/Dublin_98_FM_Interview_with_Uncle_Kage_November_8th,_2006.mp3)

I had wanted to mention Eurofurence, but it was a short interview and the opportunity didn't come up.  :/

Nice one. ^^ (Just in case anyone reading this is interested - yes, fat chance, wolf -, I posted an actual reply with some content on LJ (http://community.livejournal.com/eurofurs/72641.html?thread=245441).)

*yay*
I think you did a very good job.

We need more of this type of publicity

I am very pleased, you handle these things pretty well Kage, you seem comfortable speaking on behalf of the fandom in public, especially to the media and all. :)

As I do remember a lady near the castle in Nuremberg asking me "Was geht dann eigentlich hier so vor", and I was like, um I’m sorry but I don’t speak German.
So the lady, in perfect English asked me, what’s going on here, and she likely did get a strange impression because I was simply dumbfounded.
This was rather stupid, because I could have simply answered the question.
Well I suppose a lesson learned, be careful what you say, but otherwise just politely answer the question, especially to the average citizen.

That went quite nicely, nice summery of how bad CSI went, good skip on the 'y' word, could of just blown the whole thing into the realm of fetish. I had some cynical ears on, thinking of the worst and you did not trigger them much at all. :)
I still find it odd that an Irish radio station would be interested in it. :P Then again, I have not listened to the bloody thing in years.

Pity... I'd like to hear it. Especially considering my dad listens to 98 FM regularly. :P
