Title: Room repurchases
Post by: Lizeron on 13.01.2016, 13:02:16
Yay or nay? Is it allowed? If yes what should the previous owner and the new one be aware of? I am asking because to my understanding the room has a credit card involved so the new owner could avoid paying the hotel at the end.

Also when someone says repurchase does it mean theres a payment involved to the first owner as a bonus?

Personally it would e a nay, as everyone can cancel the room until some weeks (i think 2 or 3) till EF without any problem. The Estrel won't charge you 1 Euro...so just cancel it and the room will end up in the bookingpool again and the next one in the Waitinglist will get it.

That would be way more fair than handle something differently (and btw. way more safer)

You can ask the hotel reservation hotline to transfer your reservation to someone else ... that person will then have to provide new payment information. But you can't re-sell your hotel room - asking for money for the transfer would be considered fraud.
