Does anyone know what's happening with the Estrel waiting list yet? Has anyone else on it got a room yet? How big is the waiting list? Where am I on it? How fast is it moving? I've been waiting here for 4 months now and heard nothing. My potential roomie is getting impatient, I don't know whether I should make my travel plans or not, or should I cut my losses and sell my con ticket rather than risk losing my €95 (which I had to pay to keep my place on the waiting list) if a room doesn't come up. After 4 months I'd have expected us to have heard something about what's happening and to have heard of at least some people on the list getting rooms, but I haven't, and neither has anyone else I've asked. It's a frustrating situation.

You could try mailing the Estrel. EF doesn't have any info about your place on the waiting list afaik
I'm sure the Estrel would help you with that.
If not, you could try asking in the big EF Telegram group chat if anyone has infos or got a room

EDIT: Alright so Eurofurence just posted "To those on the Estrel waiting list: we do not expect rooms to become free at a reasonable rate. The number of you waiting is far higher than the expected number of cancellations from previous years. We suggest you make alternative plans with a hotel in the vicinity, some of which are mentioned here: https://t.co/Kj3FE7xbP8 We hope to operate a nighttime shuttle bus to an area nearby the hotels, and should confirm this soon."

I'd still ask the Estrel about your spot.
