Question about yiff art
« on: 29.01.2009, 15:40:02 »

Hia, i plan on taking on badge and door sign commisions, for people to use at EF15.

Now id like to know what the rules say about yiff stuff on your door..

Since well i wouldnt wanna sell people stuff they could get into trouble for, so what is the rulling on this?

My question for this, came after i found out that a furry artist at another con, was gonna sell door-hangers with yiff content on them, so now im puzzled if pornografic content is okay on a doorsign

This off course also goes for conbadges

You might find that people are thinking "Hmm, this is a convention where the hotel rooms (unlike the lobby area and the outside) are off limits to the public, and as such could potentially be covered by certain rules not applicable. I wonder how German law interprets this." - interestingly, not everybody is aware of just how draconian German law is on the topic of adult things ;)

Well, I tend to speak in less bold letters than doco. But he is right. In public areas, the official rating is "PG". That means, no display of explicitly adult artwork outside the dealers den, the art show, or your private room, please. If we find unacceptable stuff posted on doors, security will confiscate it.
