Kote is here :)
« on: 29.01.2009, 14:07:04 »

Hello fellaz!
I'm not sure anyone knows me so hello!
I'm a 20y.o. girl an I love animation, animals, and drawings ))
oh and people in fursuites XD

I'm not sure I'm a furry and I don't feel myself as an animal but it's all interesting and I have my own character (or fursona) for 4 years I think
It's a lioness with cats ears - thats why my nickname is Kotenok - it means kitten on Russian
Everyone can call me Kote or Kotty since Kotenok is really hard to pronounce to non russian people ^^

This year I decide to go on Eurofurence with some my friends who was there last year
I'm really exited and a little scared cause my english skills is not the best ones - especially when I'm start to talk (I'm better in writting - cause while you write - you can think about right words)

So I will be on dealers den as an artist and on Art show too (will be selling my original drawings and gave my scetches and simple drawings for free)
So if you will see this girl anywhere -
or even jumping like that
That would be meeeeee
come and say hi kooooteee!!! and don't laugh if I wouldn't understand you while you talking fast XDXD I will ask to repeat XD

oh btw a little offtopic qustion - if i would draw a bage for myself - should I found where to laminate it and buy that badge lace for myself? Or all theese i can found on EF?
Thanks a advance for replying

Hey there, still knowing me from the other thread?

Well, anyway, welcome and I hope you'll have fun at EF. Most likely I'll also be selling there, so we'll most likely see there.
So, have a nice time at the forum here and of course especially at EF when all of us will finally be united again. *chuckles*

About that badge question, if you can I'd recommend you to fully prepare them already before EF, there are people selling badges at EF and they might have different kinds of protection for them that they might sell to you, but preparing everything in advance is surely saver and more convenient.

Yeah, so, have a nice time, we'll see latest at EF then. *mutters*oh and you're really good looking by the way..*mutters*

Cya^^

Hi Kotenok or Kote ^^

Welcome to the forum and I have to say that your introduction is really great.

What kind of art do you do? Do you have an account on FA or somewhere else where we would be able to take a look at it?

Where in Russia are you from? I mean... Russia is a pretty big spot on the globe so... ;)

Oh and not everyone will have problems pronouncing your original nick... special for Germans it will be easy. We use a familiar kind of structure for our words.

I am pretty sure I will see you at the dealers den...

Enjoy your time here on the forum and have a good and safe trip to the con in a few month.

So long

RealZero, thanks a lot for answering about badges)
i guess i need to draw anything cute for me )
and it will be easyly to recognise you if you would show me your photo ^^

*mutters*oh and you're really good looking by the way..*mutters*
daww thanks a lot

and I have to say that your introduction is really great.
thanks for such kind words ))

and yep sure I have galleryes
my art is a real media (I'm not very good in traditional media but I'm learning to do it better - I'm dreaming about cool drawings from myself) I like my current pictures :) but I'm sure i could draw better
the other things I draw is cartoon characters in tlk modified style
(my icon was drawn by me too)
here my DA  http://kotenokgaff.deviantart.com/
and FA  http://www.furaffinity.net/user/kotenokgaff/
theese galleryes are totally asame
i did 2 galleryes cause some people only are on FA and some only on DA

Russia is a pretty big spot on the globe so...

Hahahaaa yeah )) I live in Moscow ^^ in the capital of Russia

Oh and not everyone will have problems pronouncing your original nick.
well the hard thing is that it spelled just like it writing on Russian but not like a transcription
I'm not sure I could write it correctly but it prononced lile Ko tio(or tyo) nok
and gaff is a old thing from old russian movie - i don't like when people call me gaff -_-

oh and also one more question
(I'm pretty annoying XDXD no?)
What is going first - Art show or dealers den?

i can sell my art on dealers den - all I need for it is register and put all my pictures on table and put prices there right?

and some of my bestbestbest works i'm puttun to the art show to try sell it via auction right?

BUT I know that artists doing commissions (like pencil or did anyone took watercolours with them?) right on EF
like badges etc
I guess they doing it while sitting on dealers den?

and about prices - i read somewhere that organisators are making prices for your pictures.. Is that true?
I actually need help to make prices - cause i'm not sure what prices will be there for alike pictures, and i wasn't on last EF to compare

omg i wrote a big post again

You are most welcome for my kind words ;)

I will visit your gallery on FA pretty soon. I am really looking forward to do so.

I always wanted do visit Moscow... never got around to it....nit now. I have been at St. Petersburg several times. And I loved it. :)

I still don't have any problems pronouncing I think ^^ And good to know... I won;t call you Gaff then. ;) I promise.

Dealers den and Art show are going parallel if I remember right. And as far as I know yes.. you sign up for a spot in the dealers den and when it is approved you put prices on your art and sit behind your table waiting for costumers from around the world ^^
And yes there are a lot of artist doing badges. And no... most of them are doing them doing the night or in the late evening after the dealers den. Most artists don't have the time and relaxing place in the den they need for their work. And you could find nearly every kind of colors there.. it is a little bit overwhelming the first time :)
And you also have to sign in for a spot in the art show to sell some of your art in the auction  :)

I am pretty sure somebody will be able to help you make your prices. But only you decide how much you are willing to take for your stuff. Nobody will force a price on your art. In the auction Onkel Kage is trying to rise the prices for you with all his charm and comedian talent. And he IS good.

So you see.. it really isn't that hard at all. I am sure you will enjoy your time on EF15 .

Yes they do take the orders for the badges ect at the den. :)

I haven't seen a time point on EF14 where they would have had enough time for that. Whenever I have been down there it was crowded. Maybe I missed than time spot.. that is possible of course.. but better calculate that you won't have much time to draw during the den.

I cross my fingers that you will get the job ^^

Well, I'm not one to post photos of himself openly in public forums or alike, but I guess everything will work out.

Oh, and like it seems my selling plans this year won't happen after all, so I might have more time to buy stuff, including some of you :D

So, according to Wikifur most american size badges are 3"x4" or 4"x3" (3 inch = 7.62 centimeters; 4 inch = 10.16 centimeters) depending on the layout of the badge, but there are wide arrays of sizes from what I've seen so far.
When I'm at hoe today I'll measure my own conbadge and tell you the size, but as far as I know it was also the "typical" size of 4 inches height and 3 inches width (7.62 x 10,16 cm), but I can tell you for sure this afternoon.

But there are also very different badges in all kinds of shapes (i.e. couple-shapes consisting of two heart-shaped halves and such).

Oh, and if you draw anthro fursonas on badges, too, so not only four-legged animals, I might want one from you, too.^^

They sell laminators in bookstores I think, I got mine on one.

Ah, okay then, well, I'll drop you a private message when I'm home, don't want to spam this thread with that, so, expect to hear from me later.
