(sorry, article is German onl.)

not that these announcements helped a lot but I figured that we should at least give everyone who does not speak german to at least find out about the change by finding this mini-thread.
I'm just waaaay too tired to translate entire articles tonight.

(Sarcasm warning.)

"Yeah, well, we can't have all those announcements in English. After all, the whole world understands that. And then those outlanders will all want to come and travel more, and there'll be no space left on the trains for us."

(EOS)

Sigh.

How about they cut down on the completely irrelevant information instead, like announcing that, oh wonder, the train has a restaurant and they're selling pretzels and beer for 5,80 and would like to welcome you for a meal or snack, blah blah blah, hey have you heard this one, blah, blah, blah, And then the conductor said to the train station manager's cat, "Well we can't call you Skimbleshanks, I can tell you that." and by the way there is a connecting train via Nürtingen, Plochingen, Tübingen, Ingeningen and Stuttgartingen which is all of 2 minutes late so you won't catch the bus to Nowhereingen, but that's okay, that one only goes on Thursday and today's a Friday.

Hey, I've got it: How about they scrap announcing everything in German? I'm really annoyed by all that German talk on the trains. The English version at least gives you something to laugh about.
