Lasershow @ EF?
« on: 25.09.2011, 23:17:56 »

Wouldn't that be something awesome, a lasershow during the furdances at EuroFurence next year? (last time I didn't saw any, so it made me wonder)

Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vaiTLR77Mw

(real deal starts at 5:00 and further)

Yes, it would be totally awesome. Unfortunately we have not figured out a way to get it done in a legal way with the money we have. Show laser regulations in germany are nothing short of insanely paranoid.

Not only regulations but you must have a certificate to handle lasers which is also not cheap
and you must have a guy from the Tüv there who has to check the equipment

If something isn't regulated in germany, it doesn't exist.

For me those projector spotlights appeared to be impressive enough. They could project different patterns and colors and looked pretty close to lasers sometimes.

oh there are things that are not regulated in germany, like shoesizes ...

Lasers are nice, but quite expensive

Shoesizes are normed, which is a kind of regulation too... :P

Well, so in Germany you can't have laser shows -but you can have indoor fireworks...?  ::)
I guess that'd only be permissable if EF was held on Silvesterstag but still, the logic in that baffles me!  ;D

Just to set things straight: You can do BOTH in germany, but for BOTH you need trained personal and a lot of money. Of course you can do it without trained personal, but then you might need a LOT more money afterwards for compensations. ;3

I just meantioned it because the whole concept of 'indoor fireworks' is unthinkable in the UK yet in Germany small children light small, indoor fireworks to celibrate the new year ^^
But yeah, I think indoor fireworks might not be the most sensible of ideas at EF this year. I don't think the fursuiters would appreciate it if their suits caught fire and neither would the hotel staff x3

You know what makes EF so awesome? The resourceful staff! You can bet we will not need such gimmicks because their own inventions will be so much better. :D

As lasershow are part of my job, I can garantie you having a show in Germany is hell :D

I have my licence in France for laser up to 5W, but it's not valid in Germany. And as my german level is pretty low, it's not tomorow that I will pass my licence in germany.

So well, laser and laser show are great, but, in the case of EF, I don't think it's possible due to the cost of it.
