Great result! Congratulations to the Charity team and a big bow to all who donated!

How the hell did you collect 15.249€ in notes, though? O.o Foreign currencies?

I was only thinking about the donation box in the main hall, not all the other events (and sincerely that's an amazing good work you and all the charity team did)
maybe I have misinterpreted people reaction,
sorry if I may have sounded gloomy

From what I experienced, all/most donations where very voluntarily. The little time I had a donation box (for bringing it up to the room), people litterally jumped all over me to drop money in it - which was simply awesome and made me very happy. Also the photo ops, concert tickets, posters, lottery tickets, the events, etc. - it sold out / filled up that quickly (I think we could have sold even more) - on people's very own choices. :)

Pawsome.... wonderfurl... i dont find any words for this.

This is what we truly are... this is what needs to be spread into the real world, not all the dramas and personal impulses.

I am really crying of joy right now, thx all for making this possible!  :-*

The notes were indeed all Euro. Looooots of them. I kept 3 people at the bank busy counting them for half an hour. ;) Looked like inverse bank robbery.

I was giving away my usual end of EF "goodbye chocolates"

BTW, thank you for that! It was very much appreciated!

<nitpicking mode on>
I think he means it's possible to do either 15.245 or 15.250 with note since the smallest one are 5€ note ^_^

This amount is simply stunning...

Great job everyone and especially thanks to all those who contributed to the charity by organising, collecting and performing for the charity!
How much time and money went into this charity just shows what a fantastic community this is!

@Fafnir: In general it should never come to a point when people are (truly) annoyed by something. But I don't think anybody was.

I surely hope I didn't annoy people too much, practically begging them to buy more Otter Noses. I am aware I do have a problem with noticing stuff like that though. I tried to back away quickly from any face that looked annoyed. If I was not careful enough and still annoyed anyone, I am truly sorry - that was never my intention.

That said, if/when given the chance I'll probably do this all over again. Although as mentioned I'm not sure if anyone was annoyed, I didn't hear a single person complain, quite the opposite in fact. I was rather surprised by people thanking me for "doing such a great job at being a salesman", and even giving me money without wanting anything in return. If anything, I'd say it shows just how willing this fandom is to help a good cause =)

But out of all the people I spoke with, those that seemed the happiest with my sales were those in the Charity team. They were truly passionate about helping their cause, and it showed. I'm positive they'll do great again next year. =)

@Jake
were you the same guy who was selling the Otter Nose during the main stage events?
if so you effectively did an excellent job and shown a wonderful dedication :D
in fact it reminded me of popcorn/cadies/icecreams sellers which were selling stuff in theaters years ago, quite nostalgic ;)

I was actually going for this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrDVsprWRCQ#t=3m =3
Also I believe someone else (completely forgot his name! D=) also sold them, and they were also sold at the booth, but I guess I was the loudest. ^_^' Glad you liked it!
