Hi,

Regarding the long elevator lines and the large amount of guests without a room at the estrel:

What about providing some lockers for rent?

There are plenty of companies, providing mobile lockers within berlin area. Either as trucks (maybe parked near estrel, or on the estrel yard) or as moveable lockers-on-pallet (eg. to set up in the taxi-entrance below the lobby, the wide hall in the convention center, and in the fursuit lounge).

This would provide offsite guests with a place to store their bags, jackets, shopping goods, valuable suit parts, etc. (some even provide power sockets to safely load your mobile). And it would also greatly reduce the elevator use for onsite guests.

Maybe free of charge (on con budget), per use billing or rentable at onsite registration (or even in advance, to reduce the risk of additional costs for EF) .

Some examples:

What do you think about that idea?

Oh, thanks for your reply. Already forgot about that.

And a big "Thank you for your great work, EF staff" btw.

No worries. We're already working on extending that service for all those attendees in overflow hotels. Your input is appreciated! :3

This is our first year attending EF, so apologies in advance for my ignorance, but how big are the lockers?

Thanks!  ;D

The locker service is more of a dedicated area right in front of the entrance to the convention center. The service is provided by Con-Ops and there is also at least one security team member there at all times while it's open. You can give them your bags or other items, which will then be stored away and marked with your badge number, so that only you will be able to pick your stuff up again afterwards.
