Room reservations at the Estrel hotel start at

The hotel booking page will become available the evening before you can apply for a room.

You will find the link to it by logging in to the registration system and navigating to "How to book a room".

You will be able to fill in your details and make sure everything is alright. You will even be able to generate the email ahead of time, so you can prepare it in your email program. Do not send it yet, though!

Note: At this point in time, it will still be missing the secret code, replaced by a number of boxes.

When booking really starts on the 20th, we will reveal the secret code, precisely at 7 AM CET. In particular:

• The secret code will be tweeted by @eurofurence
• We'll announce it on Telegram in the Eurofurence Notifications channel
• The hotel booking page will load it automatically and insert it
• It's perfectly alright for everyone to share it wherever after the official announcement

Insert the code into the mail where the boxes used to be (two places, in the subject and in the body,) and send it.

Yes, it is still a lottery, we cannot help the fact there aren't enough rooms, but the lottery won't be determined by failing, overloaded registration servers. It's just going to be the randomness of sending email. It also can't take a long time for you.

IMPORTANT: Emails sent to the hotel without the secret code will not allow you to book a room!

The hotel will have to process over 1000 of these emails, so your email must contain all the required information, including a phone number for the first person making the booking and must be formatted like the template. Just use the hotel booking email generator we are providing, and you'll be all set!

Emails found not to contain the secret code, or missing information will get a reply from the hotel, but this will take time, and by that time the rooms are very likely to be booked out.

And just in case, if all else fails, we will attach a template for the email as a text file. You may need to edit it slightly. Please try to stick to the format, and most importantly do not remove any fields. It is OK to state that info for the 2nd and 3rd person is not available yet, though.

Please refrain from contacting the hotel by phone on the first day of reservations. It will only slow down processing. At the end of the day, everyone who successfully sent an e-mail will get an answer with a the status of their booking (confirm, decline, waiting list.) Also, sending an e-mail multiple times will not increase chances on a room but delay the booking process.

Die Zimmerbuchungen für das Estrel Hotel starten am

Die Hotelbuchungsseite wird am Abend vor dem Buchungsstart verfügbar.

Du findest den Link dorthin im Registration-System. Logge Dich einfach ein und klicke auf "How to book a room" ("Hotelzimmer buchen").

Auf der Seite kannst du alle nötigen Informationen eintragen, ganz in Ruhe und ohne Zeitdruck. Du kannst sogar die Email schon generieren, damit du die Email in deinem Mailprogramm schon vorbereiten kannst. Noch nicht absenden, da fehlt noch was!

WICHTIG: Zu diesem Zeitpunkt fehlt der geheime Code in der Email, an dessen Stelle befindet sich eine Reihe von kleinen schwarzen Boxen.

Wir werden den geheimen Code am 20. März um Punkt 7 Uhr morgens veröffentlichen. Im Einzelnen:

• @eurofurence wird ihn tweeten.
• Wir posten ihn im Telegram "Eurofurence Notifications"-Kanal.
• Die Hotelbuchungsseite lädt ihn automatisch nach und fügt ihn ein.
• Ihr alle könnt mithelfen, dass jeder den Code bekommt. Ihr dürft ihn gern überall veröffentlichen wo ihr möchtet.

Den geheimen Code musst du in der Email an den 2 Stellen einfügen, wo vorher die schwarzen Boxen waren (1× im Betreff, 1× im Text der Email), dann kannst du die Email an das Hotel absenden.

Natürlich ist die Zimmerreservierung so immer noch eine Lotterie, da können wir angesichts einer zu geringen Gesamtzahl von Zimmern nicht wirklich was dagegen tun. Aber die Lotterie wird nicht von einem eventuell überlasteten Registrierungs-Server kommen, sondern es wird der normale Zufall beim Emailversand sein. Außerdem hat das noch den Vorteil, dass es für dich nicht lange dauern kann, egal was passiert.

WICHTIG: Das Hotel prüft den geheimen Code. Emails ohne diesen werden vom Hotel nicht bearbeitet werden!

Da das Hotel über 1000 Emails von uns bearbeiten muss, ist es zwingend, dass deine Email alle notwendigen Informationen enthält, inklusive einer Telefonnummer für die erste Person im Zimmer. Außerdem muss die Email wie unser Template formatiert sein, benutze einfach den Mailgenerator oder halte dich an unsere Vorlage.

Achtung: Emails ohne den geheimen Code oder mit fehlenden Informationen werden vom Hotel eine ablehnende Antwort erhalten, aber das kann mehrere Stunden dauern, und bis dahin sind die Zimmer dann mit Sicherheit ausgebucht.

Und nur für den Notfall werden wir eine Vorlage für die Email als Textdatei erstellen. Das kannst du auch benutzen und passend bearbeiten. Bitte verändere das Format nicht wesentlich, und vor allem entferne keine Felder. Wenn du noch keine Zimmerpartner hast ist es okay, bei der zweiten und gegebenenfalls dritten Person zu schreiben, dass die Infos noch nicht bekannt sind.

Eine dringende Bitte des Hotels: ruft nicht am ersten Tag der Reservierung bei der Buchungshotline an. Dies verlangsamt nur die den Buchungs- und Bearbeitungsprozess. Am Abend wird jede Person, die eine Email erfolgreich gesendet hat, eine Antwort zum Status der Buchung erhalten (sei es eine Bestätigung, Absage oder ein Wartelistenvermerk). Auch das mehrfache Senden von Emails erhöht nicht die Chance auf ein Zimmer sondern verzögert lediglich den Buchungsprozess.
