Furvan and I did several Sigs about fursuit-building in general, head-making with plastic-mesh and animatronics. I got lots of positive feedback from these events, but also some suggestions for improvements.
Several people asked last time if I could
build a fursuit-head live (with plastic-mesh) – so they can see how I really work – finished examples, pictures and vocal explanations don't work for everyone.
I made one fursuit-head before at a convention, and it won't take to much time if I prepare some materials (about 2 hours to build the basic shape with eyes, movable eyelids, nose and maybe teeth).
Just missing the fur - something like this one:
So, I'm asking:
- Who would be interested in such event? (How much space will be needed)
- What should happen with the head? (Who should get it? / How to decide for whom to build?)
- What species should I build?
I'm not good at building fursuit-heads that can fit more than one head. Explaining and adjusting something on myself doesn't work fast – so the fursuit-head has to be for someone else – and that one has to be at the panel. Materials are ca. 60 euro.
Edit: renamed the topic, it's no longer just an idea.
