Furs and Football
« on: 03.03.2009, 22:23:36 »

I just wondered if any football loving furs want to meet for a group photo... maybe a kick about (as there is a pitch in the hotel grounds). Everyone wearing their teams home kit with their furry names on the back.

Mine will be.... Manchester City, SkaPup 5

I dont know how many has or want to buy a shirt like that, but I and possibly my friend Shiro might be interested in kicking a ball around against a couple of others.

Could be fun with a small match.

mhmm... that does sound like a tempting idea... if there are enough people who want to participate with this we could hold a small match or something.

I played as a deffender for nearly 10 years  :D always kicking the opponents feet from underneath them as they tried to pass  ;D

This sounds like fun :) It's been a while since I last had a chance to play football.

That actually sounds very interesting, played indoor football for three years, had to quit cause of an injury, but that shouldnt be a problem

Gravel, grass, dirt... I don't care on what surface we'll be playing... just remind to bring your knee-protectors with you  ;) you're going to be needing them  ;D :P

We are talking about soccer right  ???

Where i come from you dont use knee protecters but, shin protectors.. And they wont protect your knee, palms or face from getting filled with gravel.

But ohh well as long as you hit the ball and not the leg it self, i see no fowl, just remember not going to rugh on your fellow furs, would be sad if we suddenly got 4 -5 furs who couldnt walk right at the con   ::)

Don't worry, I was just messing around. I'm not going to sweep someone's feet from underneath them on purpose because I don't see the point in hurting someone intentionally. Though I do recomment bringing a pair along if you have them in case of someone who's a bit to eager of taking the ball away from you (better safe then sorry, right?).

Also, a good/decent pair of running/football shoes (preferably those without steal studs) is something worth bringing along.

But about the gravel and dirt part, you would be surprised how badly maintained some football-pitches are :-\ especially some amateur footballclubs I've come across when I still played football.

Ohh i do plan on taking my outdoor soccer shoes with me, and my shin protectors.
Got em about 6 years ago when i played with my co-workers.

But i dident get to use em for more then 1 season, and to a few friendly nights in the park, so they are still good.

But if need be im sure we can move the goals up on some grass, since the playing field there is mostly meant for kids... or if we are enough who wanna do it, im sure the town has some footbold fields we could go for
