A Canadian friend of mine claims that European mcs are tastier than the American versions, and when I went to an Eastern European one (Lithuania) I have to say they did seem slightly less evil than the Belgian ones.
Could just be the change of air, though.

Why travel just so you can eat rotten ronnies? Better to get to sample local foods. Can always eat McDonald's when you get home (like how the first thing I did when I got back from Alaska was go to Tim Horton's. >.>)

Oh, but I do, this was just emergency food :-)
I love nothing more that try whatever stuff they eat locally. I've grown quite fond of pierogi in Lithuania, among other things, although I've never dared to try the zeppelins - those things look evil, even though I know they're little more than minced meat in a mashed potato jacket.
