Missing forum registration approved notification message

Hey there! I've registered to this forum yesterday (2012-01-07) and got a system mail that said:
--- Quote ---Before you can login and start using the forum, your request will be reviewed and approved. When this happens, you will receive another email from this address.
--- End quote ---
Today I checked if my registration was already approved - by logging in to the forum - and it was! But I did not get such a notification mail - neither in my normal mailbox nor the automatically maintained spam folder. Somebody should check if this was just a one-time slip or whether it's actually mis-configured :)

Are you getting any OTHER messages from the forum? If not, then please check your profiles for typos in your email address :) I'm definitely getting forum notifications, and they're all sent through the same mechanism.

Yes. For instance, I get notifications for this thread. It has always been so for me :)
The point is that if there is no approval mechanism in place, and you are unlocked immediately, then this should not be wrongfully pointed out to newly registered members ^^
