Missing forum registration approved notification message

It was the same for me when I registered here, I also didn't get the notification of approval - instead I could normally login a day later. Maybe there is a checkbox not checked in the backend spoc-software?

"Send welcome email to new members" is definitely turned on. New accounts are approved manually by one of our administrators, and mails shoud definitely go out.

Maybe we were approved too quickly!
Or maybe we share a rare mutation that at first makes us instantly approved, and later turns us into zombies :)
